 1.Malabar pied Hornbill

Malabar pied Hornbill is known as a lesser pied hornbill. Mainly it is black, has a white belly, the bill or the beak is yellow with a large black casque. Females have white orbital skin which males dont have. They are found in India and Sri Lanka, they live near the human settlements in evergreen and moist deciduous forests. They eat fruits, small mammals, birds, small reptiles, and insects. They build their nest by mud walls. They only keep a sufficient hole to go out and in. The male searches for food and brings it to the nest and gives it from the hole by putting its beak inside for feeding their little ones and the females. When the babies grow up and the nest starts becoming small for them they break their nest and reconstruct it with mud walls. Brown-headed Barbet is also known as the Asian barbet. They are found in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. They live in the tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forest. They eat fruits and insects. They forage on mango, ripe jackfruits, papaya, banana, figs, and similar cultivated fruit trees. They are 27 cm. (11inch) long with a large head, short neck, and short tail. They are also found in India, Egypt, UAE, Vietnam, and some parts of Southern and South- East Asia.
